The Racing pigeons major investors are the Chinese. They spend thousands of dollars and the last bid for the racing pigeon went upto 1.46 Million dollars.

After a couple of races they then stop using the same pigeons for racing to increase its life expectancy and to also breed it with other racing pigeons to create a stronger set of genes for the future racing pigeons.
