Mark Gilbert, a household name in pigeon racing, became world famous after winning 1-2-3 on the international race Bordeaux in 2011.
Recently, you could read how Mark Gilbert also started focussing on the short distance races. But of course we have known Mark for many years because of his formidable successes in the (international) long distance races.

He already won 3 times 1st International against the whole of Europe. Dax in 2004 was his first International win. In 2011, there was nothing to do against the Gilbert-pigeons, they put up a show on the International Bordeaux race.
