The total auction of the Murk colony marks the end of a very successful era in Dutch extreme long distance racing. While some time ago a heavy blow had to be taken with the theft of unique breeding and racing pigeons, it is now the dreaded 'pigeon lung' that throws a spanner in the works. To such an extent that quitting the beloved pigeon sport is the only remaining option.
