Marice Hasendonckx wants to reduce the number of pigeons in his team as of next season due to health issues. Hence he reluctantly decided to sell his entire collection of old birds, keeping only his 2018 generation. Given the many successes of his young birds this season, we reckon there is nothing to worry about for him.

Numerous top results and renowned breeds founded on Hasendonckx birds

Even though Maurice has been one of Belgium's top contenders in recent decades, his name is generally more often associated to the many top results that other fanciers from across the globe have achieved with the help of his Hasendonckx breed. Here is a brief overview:

1st Nat. Ace Pigeon KBDB 2012 Bolt and 2nd Olympiad Pigeon 2013 Olympic Sperwer (Heremans-Ceusters)

1st Olympiad Pigeon Olympic Rosita and 1st Nat. Ace Pigeon KBDB 2013 Kittel (Dirk Van den Bulck)

1st Olympiad Pigeon 2011 Olympic Schanulleke (Willem de Bruijn)

As you can see, these are not just excellent results, but they were also won with some world famous bloodlines that were partly based on the Hasendonckx pigeons. The Heremans-Ceusters breed is heavily related to Hasendonckx in particular; think of their top pair Spinneke x Rossi, Euro, as well as Olympic Sperwer and Bolt
