Who knew! The ancient sport of Pigeon Racing is alive and well around the world. We're cruz-in with Cruz Merriman and his Grandpa Bill Merriman from the Mid-Island Racing Pigeon Association, one of the oldest groups in Canada, established in 1899. These peaceful, feathered athletes can fly incredible distances, have been awarded medals for their military service in aiding humanity. Really, all they want to do is go home...to the Pigeon Fanciers that love and nurture them.
