Roger Engelen from Dessel in Antwerp is not just any old fancier, but a real ‘thoroughbred’ topper in the Sprint and Middle distance.

Roger Engelen gained prominence when his pigeon named “Blauwe Mustang” (ring B07-6094422) won the 1st Olympiad pigeon Sprint from Belgium. This remarkable bird achieved the following honors:

In 2007: Quiévrain (133 km) - 1st, Quiévrain (287 km) - 1st, Quiévrain (2,495 km) - 10th, and more.
In 2008: Quiévrain (1,350 km) - 2nd, Noyon (955 km) - 2nd, Pithiviers (385 km) - 14th, and others.

“Blauwe Mustang” is not only an exceptional racer but also possesses beautiful plumage, a quick wing, and a lively eye.

His lineage includes the “Schone Blauwe 939/99” (bred from Joris Laenen’s stock) and “Sproetkopje 283/04” (from Peter Ceusters).
