Marnix Leutenez from Kruishoutem is a renowned pigeon racer. Here are some notable achievements and information about his pigeons:

1st National Tulle 7,883 old birds:
In June 2024, Marnix Leutenez achieved an impressive victory in the National Tulle race, with his pigeon B22-4095137. The bird covered a distance of 608 km at a velocity of 1,268.40 m/min, outperforming 13,634 competitors.

Breeding Focus:
Marnix focuses on extreme long-distance races and a few long-distance races for year birds.
He breeds from approximately 15 to 20 breeding pairs, which are carefully selected and placed in breeding boxes around December.
About 45 youngsters are bred for his own use.

Euro Diamond Lineage:
Marnix Leutenez was the winner of the EURO DIAMONDS PIGEON in 2009 with his pigeon Euro Diamond (BE03-4375973).
The descendants of Euro Diamond, along with direct offspring from Het Bontje (BE08-4200087) and Super RED (BE13-4185315), contribute to the current generation of pigeons in his loft.

1st National Champion Grote Fond Oude:
In 2019, Marnix Leutenez earned the title of 1st National Champion Grote Fond Oude (Great Long-Distance Old Birds).
Despite considering pigeon racing a hobby, he excels in races over 800 km
