ABOUT THE GUEST
Chuck is an RN with over fourteen years of experience. He has worked in critical care, trauma, ED, and rapid response nursing. He is currently a nursing professional development instructor for his hospital system where he specializes in mentoring new grad nurses through their first year of practice.
As a nurse specialist in the US Dept. of Health and Human Services National Disaster Medical System, Chuck traveled throughout the country during the pandemic setting up crisis ICUs and providing critical care assistance for facilities that were overwhelmed by COVID. In these settings, he saw new grad and novice nurses in situations over their heads, without senior nurses to help them out. Many new grads are in a similar situation now, with the exodus of experienced RNs from the bedside.
Chuck developed the Unstoppable RN program to provide guidance, mentorship, and support to new grads as they make their transition from school to practice.
