Getting your family to help with the pigeons is quite important. Luckily my wife is happy to help Charlie and me get the young birds vaccinated using the colombovac PMV vaccine. In hindsight we should have used an alcohol spray or iodine to help sterilise the skin, but more importantly it helps dampen the feathers so you can see the skin and inject more easily. I'll review how it went and make a more informative video for newcomers (and myself). Unfortunately with this vaccine you shouldn't clean the needle after each dose as there are live elements to the vaccine that can be harmed if sterilised.
