In this video Evert Jan Eijerkamp and pigeon coach Kees van de Beek introduce our first racing pigeon "Beetle" from Niergnies (298km).
When this hen arrived it rained very hard and hailstones came down.
But this beautiful hen came like a flash of light, all alone and was just beaten for the fastest against nearly 10,000 racing pigeons.
We have almost the greatest distance so it is impressive to see how this hen performed.
This is pigeon sport at its best, racing pigeons that come home under difficult circumstances gives a kick and that is what makes racing pigeon sport so beautiful.
