World Environment Day is celebrated annually on 5 June to raise awareness and take action on critical issues to make a positive impact on the environment. In recognition of World Environment Day 2024, themed 'Land restoration, desertification and drought resilience', FIP will host an event to delve deeper into the pharmacists’ role in addressing the global pressing environmental challenges. The event will feature discussions on the environmental impact of the pharmaceutical sector, sustainable practices in pharmacy operations, and the role of pharmacists in promoting environmental health and well-being.

Learning objectives:
- Highlight the role of pharmacists on the mitigation and reduction of the environmental impact of the pharmaceutical sector globally;
- Explore the impact of environmental policies on sustainable pharmacy practice;
- Understand how to promote sustainability on the pharmaceutical sector.
