It seems every fancier in the country has an opinion on how the RPRA should navigate the challenges facing the sport. Usually it's limited to voicing a few suggestions in the pub or during basketing. Some are forward thinking, some are not. Few offer such a dramatic change as those presented by former CEO of the Royal Pigeon Racing Association, Ian Evans.
Here Ian answers questions about his recent proposal for rule changes at the RPRA. Based on the Hall Report of 2016 Ian says "...the proposals abolish the regions to save fanciers and the RPRA money... and facilitate a streamlined one member one vote form of governance at the RPRA". Ian and other like-minded fanciers have prepared the rule change proposals in a format that can be downloaded and submitted to club secretaries for members to vote on in time for the RPRA AGM in January 2025.
