With the passing away of Dirk Van Dyck, pigeon sport lost one of its most amiable fanciers. A great person first, but also a man whose pigeons have had a huge impact on pigeon sport. His De Kannibaal – 1st Nat. Ace Pigeon Middle Distance KBDB 1996 – grew out to become a true icon and his descendants still receive (Inter)national fame and glory today. Without Kannibaal, there would have not been a Golden Lady and Kleine Dirk of Gerard Koopman…no Dondersteen of Rik Hermans…no Anna of Eddy Janssens or Kannibolleke of Paul Huls…no Dirkje and therefore no Harry of Jan Hooymans…and we could go on and on.

Dirk didn’t sell De Kannibaal and thereby ensured his own success and a place in the history books. De Kannibaal dynasty was followed by that of Heremans wonder pigeon Di Caprio…and later his son, Olympic Niels. There are no words to describe these legends! With Dirk’s passing on 28th May 2022 his truly amazing pigeon career came to an end. On PIPA the whole colony will be available in auction, the legacy of a pigeon sport idol.

The latest generation of superstars will be on offer in auction, including Natalia, winner 1st Nat. Bourges YL 10,141 p. 2014 … Little Queen, 3rd Nat. Ace Pigeon KBDB Middle Distance YL 2015 … Mathieu, 11th Nat. Ace Pigeon KBDB Speed Youngsters 2019 with 3x 1st Prize … and Nina, 9th Nat. Ace Pigeon KBDB Middle Distance YL 2019.
Furthermore, auction lots include a/o:
- 9 grandchildren of 1st Nat. Ace Pigeon KBDB Kannibaal
- 8 children of (breeding) phenomenon Di Caprio Heremans
- 19 children of Olympiad star & super breeder Olympic Niels
