In my opinion Johnny Kidd and the Pirates were one of the greatest English Rock n’ Roll bands ever. I have loved their music since I was a young lad and still enjoy playing their records today. I think I’m right in saying, they are one of the ‘all time’ favourites of my ol’ guitarist mate Keith Read! My favourite Johnny Kidd track is ‘Shakin’ all over’ and loved playing it with most of the bands I played with in the day. I have made up a little photo show video on this post of two very old tracks of us playing ‘Shakin’ all over’. The first recording is Keith Read and me in the ‘Shed’ sessions in 1969 and the other is ‘Rockmobile’ at the Telegraph in Brixton in 1973. There are some great memories in this post! (March 2022)
