The Regulation on the European Health Data Space (EHDS) aims to regulate the sharing and (re)use of health data across the EU for both private individuals and researchers or policymakers. With this event, the MAC interest group aims to inform the cancer community about the shape the initiative is taking and to discuss:
- The impact of the EHDS on cancer prevention, treatment, and survivorship as well as the work of healthcare professionals
- The challenges and opportunities for academia and researchers working on improving cancer research
- The role of robust health data for strengthened evidence-based public health and cancer policymaking.
